Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow has its origin in the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. It creates a connection with the body and the mind, and in doing so becomes a moving meditation (the focus moves from the outside to the inside). During a flowing intelligent Asana sequence, movement and breath are synchronized, bringing the body and mind into balance. The complete body therefore becomes strengthened, and this benefits our balance, flexibility and mental concentration. Applying a special breathing technique (Ujjayi breathing) during the entire flowing practice, produces an inner heat within the body, which cleanses both muscles and organs, and helps to remove toxins. In combination with Ujjayi breathing it is possible to hold Asanas longer as we require less oxygen.
Vinyasa Yoga is an open system. Asanas are intelligently combined with Mudras, Drishti, Chanting, Kriya, Pranayama and the breath.
It is a modern form of classical Indian yoga and evolved from Ashtanga Yoga. Ashtanga means «the eight limbs of yoga» which are mentioned in one of yoga’s most important scriptures Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras (Guidelines to Yoga).

I teach creative Vinyasa Flow accompanied by music, as through the music I also find the rhythm for my Yoga and so it becomes a rhythmic dance and a moving meditation. I’m fascinated about Vinyasa Flow as it is infinitely creative. I produce my Yoga Flows with great passion, and from beginning to the end everything is designed to flow like a dance. Asanas are not always practiced in the classical form, which can make it a bit more challenging for the body and mind. Mandalas (circles) is also a part of Vinyasa Flow, which means that a Vinyasa will be done in a circle.

In the practice of Yoga one can emphasize the body, the mind or the self and hence the effort can never be fruitless.
